How popular were the first Barbie dolls?

They are very much popular because they do not only give smiles to everyone that sees them, but they teach the girls about America's past time. It is a combination of fun, and learning. Also their size is nice. Barbies are too small, and Adora dolls are too big, but AG are 18 inch, and they are just right!!!

Barbie is popular because she appeals to the little girls mind. And because they make her look pretty. So shes like a role model. I mean when i was little i lived her because I created my own little world and stuff in my imagenation. So other girls do it too:D Shes a great childhood friend forver!!!! lol

you are right but she is also good for collecting when i am bored sometimes i still change my dolls clothes but they make the doll nice and everyones best friend like my mom told me when i was 5 because my friend stole my crayon ( lol ) any way she said " friends come and go but a doll will forever stay" ( ok so she did not really say that but lol )

They were in old days but now moxie Girlz and Bratz are hot in the season.Mostly moxie girlz but alot of girls like me like bratz and moxie girlz.

Yes they are still popular. They are not as popular as they were during Barney's peak, but kids do still play with the Barney dolls.
