Bars are open almost permanently in most of the world, including the time of Ramadan. However, Muslims are forbidden from drinking alcohol and entering a bar; it is an activity bordering on sin. A Muslim shouldn't be going to a bar or anywhere that can lead to as many sins as one can get in a bar. Not only from the sense of taste, but also from the sense of smell (if you smell the alcohol), the sense of sight, (by the appearance of the people, the sense of hearing, (by the music pounding throughout the bar.
