A bat is a mammal and does not lay eggs but gives birth to its young ones. A bat is covered with skin and hair, not feathers. The wings of a bat are actually folds of skin stretched over elongated fingers, homologous to humans/other mammalian limbs.

∙ 7y agoLike other mammals and unlike birds, bats have fur and teeth, give birth to live young, and feed their young milk. While bats do fly, the structure of their wings is completely different from that of birds. Birds, by contrast, have feathers and and beaks and lay eggs. They also have a unique and complex respiratory system that bats to not have.
