Best Answer

All birds are warm blooded as they maintain their bodies at a constant temperature. They get energy from burning their food, to keep their temperature above ambient. If they get too hot they depend on evaporation of water from the tissues of the lungs to cool them down.

Birds are warm blooded. They are endothermic. This means they generate their own heat and are not dependent on environmental conditions.

The opposite would be ectothermic, eg: reptiles.

The terms warm and cold blooded are misleading as the body temperature of a reptile, when it is active, can be quite high.
