Bobcats don't generally present a hazard for people. It is possible that a big bobcat will attack a small child, but the probability is very remote. We don't generally let our little ones run around the woods. They could certainly make a mess of an individual they attacked, but they are much smaller than people, and would rather flee than get into it with an adult human, even with the formidable teeth and claws. These wild cats can present a hazard to pets and to smaller livestock in some areas. Perhaps one in twenty sheep that is killed by a predator is killed by one of these critters. The cats will take easy prey including your dog, but not generally. A link can be found below for more information.
