Think of the uterus as a balloon that's blown up with air. The cervix is like the neck of the balloon; when it is tied up, nothing gets in or out of the balloon.

Are you thinking ONLY about the issue of the condom itself, or are you worried that sex in general might hurt the baby? Might you be worried about whether different positions could hurt the baby? How "far along" in the pregnancy are you talking about - in other words, newly pregnant or right near the end or in the middle? Has a health care provider said not to have sex?
