Yes it can be depending if you are unable to use the toilet due to a medical condition such as urge incontinence. Toilet is still good to use, but you still need to change your undergarment when needed. Adult diaper's are good when you go out or stuck in bed. If the toilet is unacceptable or very unsanitary then a adult diaper is your best solution to prevent straining and bowel and bladder accidents. Most toilets these days are not kept very clean especially public restrooms because the other user cannot keep it clean or is not fully able to use it properly. A adult diaper is fully recommended if your doctor recommends you to use it 24 hours a day. They do make disposable underwear, pads and belted undergarments that are a good solution to manage light to moderate urinary incontinence. Adult diaper's with tape tabs are good for people with loose stools and urge bladder incontinence. Disposable underwear is not good for heavy voiding unless it has a booster pad. Maintaining good skin hygiene is what will also make it healthy.

Can an adult wear diapers?

Many adults wear diapers. Some do so due to incontinence, which is any problem with bladder or bowel control. It is more common in older or disabled people but otherwise healthy adults can sometimes need diapers, such as women who have experienced bladder or bowel damage from childbirth. Some adults wear diapers for pleasure, they are known as Adult Babies and Diaper Lovers (AB/DL). Also some may wear them for convenience, or the inability to get to a toilet for whatever reason.

Why do infants and toddlers need diapers?

Infants have no concept of the toilet nor any concept of or control over their need to go toilet and toddlers little to no concept or control over their toiletry needs. Because of this they need to literally wear their toilet which is what diapers are. This is not only for the sake of their own hygiene and health since infants and toddlers get sick much more easily than everyone else but for the sake of the hygiene and health of everyone around them as well so nobody else gets sick either. They go toilet in their diapers all the time and their diapers will trap and contain all the nastiness. They do this instead of using a potty or toilet until they can learn to manage their toileting needs and learn to use a potty or actual toilet. Second, due to their cushy design, infants and toddlers also need diapers because they give them some protection from injury. If a toddler falls from a swing for example right onto their bottom, they won't get as hurt as an older toilet trained child because their diapers absorb some of the impact. Third, infants and toddlers need diapers because baby powder exists and infants and toddlers need for diapers justifies and reinforces its existence as baby powder is designed to be put in infants and toddlers diapers where it will be trapped to prevent irritation and rashes. Finally, infants and toddlers need diapers because prank itching powder exists and infants and toddlers need for diapers justifies and reinforces its existence as itching powder is best used being put in infants and toddlers diapers where it will be trapped and cause infants and toddlers constant itching and discomfort until their next diaper change.

What is the difference between pull-ups diapers and goodnites diapers?

Pull-ups are intended for toddlers going through toilet training. Goodnites are larger and more absorbent than pull-ups and are intended for older children who wet the bed.

What do people prefer more cloth diapers or disposable?

People prefer disposable diapers over cloth diapers. Although cloth diapers are preferred for the environment, disposable diapers are more convenient.

Why are there different types of diapers?

For different circumstances and needs of course. If you are referring to cloth diapers and disposable diapers then here is the answer. Cloth diapers, the first diapers invented and have been around for almost as long as humans have. They are arguably more comfortable and better for a baby's skin but require a lot of laundry work, are bulky, stiff and make it harder for the baby to move and may be uncomfortable when wet since they don't absorb as quickly as disposable. Generally they are more suited for and work when at home but not when out and about. Disposable diapers, a more modern innovation are thinner, more discreet, more flexible and less inhibiting on the movement of a baby and absorb more quickly than cloth but are arguably less comfortable and more likely to cause a rash than cloth. If you're talking about taped baby diapers, pull-on baby diapers, training pants, older children diapers and adult diapers well taped baby diapers are more suitable for less active babies, pull-on baby diapers are more suitable for very active babies who love to move around a lot, training pants are much thinner and much more underwear-like to help toddlers transition to underwear when toilet training, older children diapers are for kids who have a bedwetting problem or other toiletry issues and adult diapers are for elderly people and those with incontinence.

Why do infants used diapers?

Infants have no concept of the toilet whatsoever nor any concept or control over their need to go toilet. Because of this they use diapers instead of the potty or toilet. This is for the sake of their own hygiene and health since infants get sick way more easily than everyone else and for the sake of the hygiene and health of everyone else around them so other people don't get sick either. Diapers are literally the infants toilet until their old enough to learn to manage their toiletry needs and use a potty or actual toilet and diapers will trap and contain the nastiness. Secondly, infants also use diapers because baby powder exists and an infants diaper use justifies and reinforces its existence as baby powder is designed to be put in the infants diaper where it will be trapped and prevent irritation and rashes. Lastly, infants also use diapers because prank itching powder exists and an infants diaper use justifies and reinforces its existence as itching powder is best used in an infants diaper where it will be trapped and cause the infant to fuss and be in constant discomfort from the itching.

Why are diapers bad for the environment?

Disposable diapers are put into landfills. The plastic and absorbent materials take a long time to break down. If the baby's bowel movements (faeces) are not flushed down a toilet, then they can biodegrate anaerobically (without air), producing methane, a greenhouse gas 21 times more dangerous than carbon dioxide. However, cloth diapers are not much easier on the environement. They require laundry to be done, which means using a lot of water and energy as well as releasing waste water and soap into the environment.
