Rotuma an island in the Northern most part of Fiji is inhabited with full blooded Polynesian. In Rabi, an island off the coast of Vanua Levu is inhabited by Micronesian whose ancestors are from Kiribati. Kioa is another island off the coast of Vanua Levu under the Province of Cakaudrove whose ancestors were from Tuvalu. Some words of the Tongan language can also be found in Fiji.
Overall, Fiji remains to be with the Melanesian group.
