Yes in alot of them
One, inside the tank, on the fuel pump.
In 2004 chevy started putting the fuel filters inside of the fuel tank.
Only one. It's integrated with the fuel pump and located inside the fuel tank. It is not serviceable. Replacement of the fuel filter requires replacement of the entire fuel pump module. Expensive and requires removal of either the fuel tank or the truck's boxbed. Yeah, maybe not "the dumbest design ever," for fuel filters, but it's definitely on that list.
1- ( and there is a filter " sock " on the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank )
It ONLY has 1 filter and it is under the rear of the car / up over the rear end housing and close to the fuel tank. Now it does have what we call a sock / screen inside of the fuel tank that is hooked to the bottom of the fuel pump. It rarely ever cause's a problem unless someone put something inside of the fuel tank
Blackbird fuel filters are on the fuel pump plate - INSIDE the fuel tank! Dadthespanners (JK's Motorcycles)
They are permanent filters that are only replaced when the fuel pump is replaced.
Your fuel filter is inside of the fuel tank. It comes out of the TOP of the tank. You can either raise the bed up and get to it are remove the fuel tank from under the truck and service it. The fuel filters were on the frame rail up to 2004 then Chevy started putting them in the fuel tank.
This depends on whether you count the pickup sock inside the tank as a filter. There is a regularly changed filter on the lower part of the front fire wall. There is the sock on the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.
I just had mine replaced and it is inside top of gas tank. Gotta drop tank.
It is underneath on the frame just forward of the gas tank. ANOTHER ANSWER: It is my understanding that the Chevrolet and GMC trucks ALL had the fuel pumps inside the tank. The fuel filters are inside the frame, forward of the tank and the fuel pump fuse is under the hood, on the passenger side of the firewall just above the AC receiver/dryer can. I stand corrected as I had fuel filters on my mind. I apologize for the error.
It has a non-serviceable fuel filter located inside the fuel tank. It is designed to last the life of the vehicle, so they say.
