Are girls prettier with or without makeup?

well when i was younger i got bullied because of the way i looked and loads of girls do. make up is like a cover for girls so they can feel more confident, and it works. i can't stand seeing people without make up because i feel ugly but when i do have make up on i feel that i look better and i feel better about myself. so basically make up is like a confidence booster for girls.

In many if not most species displaying sexual dimorphism (boys and girls are noticeably different) females tend to have an innate instinct and drive to both be noticed but, also, to be indistinguishable from other females. (That is part of what might be termed, the herding instinct.) Whether viewed from the perspective of homely or pretty, naturally attractive or not, makeup goes a long way to accomplish just such a purpose. That is something the makeup (and other "beauty") "creators," producers, and purveyors are well aware of and, thereby, exploit for substantial to extraordinary profit.

Opinions about girls being prettier without makeup vary, but most people would agree that young girls really do not need makeup and are prettier without it. As girls get older, skillfully applied makeup enhances their natural features and plays down their flaws. If makeup is not applied correctly, though, girls of any age are prettier without it.
