Koalas that are disturbed are known to be violent, their teeth and claws capable of causing considerable injury to humans; special handling requirements are as such applicable Koala bears are not known for being particularly friendly. The males can be very aggressive. Koalas, in zoos or parks, that have been hand-reared are often available to be held by visitors and are tamer, but they must always be handed back to their handler before being passed to another visitor.
Aha... koalas might look cute but they're aggressive, but if you raise a young koala and it is always bonded with humans it can be a friendly mini bear :D But if you see a wild koala stay away!
A koala is more sleepy than friendly. They are generally nervous around people unless they have been trained.
Koalas are totally not nocturnal you funny bunny! In Australia, the sun is always out when you see the shows on Animal Planet. I cannot believe that you think that koalas are nocturnal........ YOU FOOL!
There are certainly organisations dedicated to helping koalas, and these groups always appreciate donations. See the related links below.
Not at all. Koalas spend, on average, 16 to 20 hours a day sleeping. The rest of the time, they are eating, or moving between trees.
Koalas are essentially grey. They have woolly light to dark grey fur with brown and white patches and a cream belly. Mature males have a brown stain on their chest, the result of a gland which produces an orange coloured discharge. This is used to mark the trees the male climbs (and attract females) by rubbing this gland against the base of the tree and the trunk. However, koalas are not always grey. Albino koalas have been recorded, but are extremely rare. Furthermore, southern koalas tend to have fur that is darker and tending more towards brown than that of koalas found in the northern parts of Australia.
Koalas are not vicious. For the most part, they prefer to be left alone. Some individuals may become very aggressive when touched or interfered with, but this is normal wild animal behaviour. Koalas are generally sedate creatures, and have been known to follow humans in their search for water during prolonged periods of hot weather.
Adult koalas are simply called koalas.
Koalas are not primates. Koalas are marsupials.
No. Not that I know of. They are always in their mother's pouch when they are too young to be out.
