No. They unfortunately illegal. I also wanted to have one as a pet. I could be wrong on this, but the reason I say no is because there was an Ace Hardware in Montgomery, Illinois who kept a monkey as a pet for visitors to look at. It was taken very well care of, but then the law was passed that they were illegal, and Ace Hardware had to take it to a zoo. You could check up on that one, I may be wrong. However, if they are legal, take EXTREME caution when purchasing one. Make sure it is a VERY reputable breeder or it is likely to carry diseases. Also remember monkeys, no matter how long they were bred in captivity, are wild animals. They will always have natural wild instincts. No matter how much training you may have for it, those natural instincts will NEVER go away.
