Reason being, it's considered an outward adornment or vanity which the Christian should no longer be bound to, with the power of the Holy Ghost. But since I know that's not a popular answer, here's another one; The Bible never mentions jewelry or makeup in a positive way, only in a negative way. So, while the Bible never specifically says not to do those things, it doesn't seem as if it pleases God in any way. Hope this helps.

It is not what we can't do, it's what we choose not to do according to the Bible. Women don't wear pants or immodest shirts, they don't cut their hair (very, very, very few Pentecostal women do cut their hair). Men definitely don't wear skirts, they wear pants and they wear modest shirts, and they keep their hair short, not long. Neither Men nor women wear any jewelry, get tattoos or piercings, consume any alcoholic food or beverage, do or say sinful things, or any other thing the Bible counts as wrong. All want to accept God's perfect plan for their life and serve Him all the way. This does not mean Pentecostals are perfect, because every body makes mistakes and may trip here and there, but God helps Pentecostals to stick to what we believe in.
