It all depends on how they are raised. If they are raised with other dogs and children from a young age and aren't treated poorly, they tend to be gentle. But in a house with him/her as the only dog, no children, and 1 or 2 adults, they tend to be aggressive torwards other people or dogs.
Not at all. Although poodles are a hunting dog originating from Germany, they are similar in temperament to Labrador retrievers. If they are raised properly and socialized properly, poodles are loving and very family- and child-friendly pets. However, any dog if mishandled, abused, neglected, or unsocialized can pose a danger to humans.
Poodles are very loyal and caring. They love cuddles and fuss and will gladly be a lap dog and a guide dog. They are protective of their homes and owners and get on well with other animals providing they have been associated well together. They will also accept cats but like all dogs it's best to have a kitten and a puppy and bring them up together.
Poodles can also be mischievous and like to play the fool. They really are lovely.
Poodles come in 3 sizes. The toy is the smallest and the miniature is the middle size and the standard is quite big. All of these sizes share the specific traits above.
Poodles are very sweet and smart too. They are big but gentle and good with children.
I personally tend to think so, but that's just me. It really depends on the person and the dog. Do you think these dogs are cute? Then poodles are cute to you! But look at this poodle: Fortunatle, most poodles are like the previous two.
Yea, me too. i have a poodle, he is the best dog i have ever had. alot of people scorn upon show poodles and their hair and proper attitudes, but i am here to tell you that "french poodles" are a disgrace to the breed, like fighting pitbulls. Smaller breeds of poodle e.g. Toy or Teacup tend to yap a lot and some are not very friendly towards little children. However, miniature and standard poodles are much more gentle, kind and intelligent. originally, poodles were german, originating from the word "puddle", for water. they were the original retrievers before labs came along. the foofy cut was to keep vital organs and joints warm in frigid waters, because if all their hair was kept on, they would sink in ponds and streams. their tail was kept with a ball on top so that hunters could see the dogs when the rest of them plunged under the water. now, you can give your poodle a utility cut, which makes them look like regular dogs (check out my bio page there is a picture of one there). it is more practical and less expensive, and cuter. so poodles are adorable creatures, with a drive to please, looks to kill, and an attitude to make you fall in love with those goofy eyes. an excellent family dog for active people with children who may be allergic or risk allergy of pet hair. wonderful choice for most people...but can become destructive or highstrung in not excercised!

Poodles are not the most aggressive dog breed. Dogs with fighting or guarding backgrounds tend to be the most aggressive. (Ex. Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers..) And the Poodle breed has neither of those backgrounds. The Poodle was originally bred to retrieve game from the water, much like a Labrador Retriever.
That being said, toy poodles are often guilty of having what is called "Little Dog Syndrome" as well as Chihuahas and other toy breeds. This occurs from the owner's lack of correction and is a learned behavior and has little to do with the genetics of the dog. It often starts out small and escalates, say the dog jumps up on someone's lap. The owner thinks it is cute and often pets the dog, but in the dogs mind he has effectively claimed you and given you the message he is in charge and you have reinforced that by petting the dog. If a Rottweiler however were to sit on your lap, that same owner might find it uncomfortable and push the dog off, effectively telling the dog, "Get off, you are not the boss of me." Really a small dog should be trained with the owner thinking "Would this be cute if it were a Rottweiler?" Then if the dog growls or bites it is certainly not cute and is not to be taken lightly.
Other than being fairly ugly, some can be so to say; evil!.
Another answer
Of course not, poodles are not evil. They are sweet. I agree some of the different poodle cuts look kind of silly but it's for a reason.
yes poodles are capable of being smart dogs. all dogs are capable of being very smart or mildly smart
No, poodles are not vicious dogs but the smaller ones can be barkers. All poodles will protect their home and owners.
No, poodles are known for generally being gentle and easy going.
un beau caniche
he was a nice fluffy poodle
yes they are extremely loyal and do not snap or bite.
well i have a poodle mixed with a yorkie and she loves to be held.
i believe apricot is a lot better, for it does not get as grubby, for it is a darker colour. It is also a very nice colour on a poodle and white is quite classic. It is better to go for original.
You get a miniature poodle because a big poodle + a small poodle =a miniature poodle .
No. Only a poodle or a mixed breed poodle species contains the poodle gene.
i really don't know but i think it is a poodle because they are really nice and sweet and so is she , she is my favorite singer and celeb
Well, I don't know about puppies, but usually a clip for a Standard Poodle DOG'S tail is to shave it all, except a pompom left on the end. This clip is popular for showing and looks nice on white Standard Poodles
No, a poodle does not need to stay in the house. We have a dogie door where our dogs can go in and out when they need to. Poodles should be protected with a nice fence so they can't get out in the street or someone might take him. Poodles love to play on the grass and run around.
a poodle can be male or female.
the breed name is a jacky-poo (not sure if that's how to spell it. and they have to be the cutest most energetic dogs in the world
