Does bacteria causes diseases by capsid?

Bacteria usually lack capsid. However, certain bacteria have capsid-like proteins which can be the cause of certain infections. Almost all viruses contain this protein and can cause diseases as it protect the virus inner DNA/RNA structure,

Why are prions unique?

Prions are made up only of proteins and lack nucleic acids.

Why are prions unlike any other infectious disease?

They contain only protein and no nucleic acids

What is unenveloped plus-strand RNA virus?

A virus which lack envelopes only the have a capsid(protien coat) made up of capsomers their name is PLUS STRAND because they act directly as a mRNA after infecting the host cell.they infect plants and bacteria causing POLIO and COLD in human beings e.g polio viruses and rhino viruses

What do some viruses lack?

Some viruses lack the ability to replicate. These types of viruses often don't show symptoms in healthy people because they are not strong enough to cause illness.

List and describe the structural components of viruses?

Infectious particles consisting of nucleic acid encased in a protein coat and, in some cases, a membranous envelope. The smallest viruses are only 20 nm in diameter. The genome of viruses may consist of double-stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA, double-stranded RNA, or single-stranded RNA, depending on the kind of virus. Lack the enzymes for metabolism and the ribosomes for protein synthesis. Identify host cell (needed for reproduction) by a lock and key type system of outer proteins.

Do viruses lack cell structure?

yes

What do viruses completely lack the genes for synthesis of?

Proteins.

What requires a host cell to reproduce?

yes a virus need host cell to repriduce becouse it lack enzyme system

Viruses are not considered alive because they lack which of the following what?

metabolism

Virusers are not considered alives because they lack what?

Viruses are not considered alive because they lack the ability to reproduce unless they have a host to reproduce for them. When viruses are not attache to a living cell they lose all living characteristics.
