Best Answer

Rabbits can be gentle, but they are quite timid animals as a rule and will sometimes be aggressive out of fear or from hormonal issues.

It is worth remembering that rabbits are prey animals, and hence do not enjoy being picked up normally.

Spayed and neutered animals will always be more affectionate and gentle than unaltered ones.

All of this being said, rabbits can make loving and gentle companions if you treat them well.

Well, rabbits can't be that mean... When you treat them bad or mean, they will get mad at you and start to not trust you. As long as you love them, treat them fairly, and play with them everyday, you will be just fine!

Can you train dwarf rabbits?

I should think you can. We have a lop rabbit and it has a corner pot to urinate and poo in. Dwarf rabbits might have a reputation of being a little naughty. I don't know if this affects their trainability but, generally speaking, pet rabbits can be litter-trained, and they can be socialized to be gentle and friendly and (somewhat) obedient. Some also like endurance training (jumping). See Related Questions (below) for more information.

Rabbits will act very timid in a place where everything is different. (New smells, different places, etc.) Let the rabbit be for a couple of days until he/she gets used to it's new place, then try to be gentle with it like stroking its fur!Good Luck!
