Best Answer

First answer: Pet rabbits can live in both.

More information: There are a lot of dangers outside, like predators, poisonous plants, and bad weather. There are also dangers inside, like electrical wires. You have to look at your home, consider all the factors, and figure out how to make the safest, most stimulating environment for your bunny. Rabbits can be outside OR inside whichever you prefer. But if you are keeping your rabbits out side i advise you to have an outdoor cage usually a hutdh or a nice warm cage for the winter and a cooler one for summer, but under cover so the rabbit doesn't get snowed on or wet. You can have outdoor cages insde as well.

Do rex rabbits live inside or outside?

Rex rabbits are just like other pet rabbits: they have the same behaviours, and the same needs for care. Pet rabbits can be kept outside, but there are risks involved that must be prevented (like predators, cold weather, parasites, poisonous plants, rain and windy weather, hot weather, neglect because they've been forgotten out there in the backyard, etc.). See the related questions below for more details and helpful links -- they all apply to Rex rabbits as well as other pet rabbits.

How long do rex rabbits live?

Rex rabbits have the same lifespan as other pet rabbits: they live on average 8 to 10 years, but they can live up to 12, 13, even 14 years old. A Rex rabbit can live 4-11 years. But 4 is a very short life for a pet rabbit, including a Rex! That's like a human dying at age 30.
