I have a husky and live in Illinois and I have a house with a large backyard and an underground electric fence so my husky can run around all he wants. Also huskies are very stubborn and need a lot of training. So if you are someone with a "large" home, a backyard, lots of patience, and a cool climate then the husky is the perfect dog for you! (I am not saying huskies can't live in hotter climates, I am just saying that they prefer cooler ones.)
