The Shih Tzu can have astma attacs. If it happends, lift him/ her up by her rear legs, almost so her front paws do not touch the floor, and hold for about half to one minute. She might stop breathing for a little while, but just hold her there and put her down gently. The cramps will be gone, Mia

The Lhasa is generally longer in body than the Shih Tzu but they are very close in height and weight. The Lhasa Apso stands 10-12 inches high and weighs 13-15 pounds. The Shih Tzu reaches heights up to 11 inches and can weigh up to 16 pounds. The Lhasa is longer in body than the Shih Tzu but they generally are of the same height and weight.
