Yes they do! I have personally seen them twice, once my father in law found one in his garden put it in a bucket for us to see. The second time we were visiting my in laws again and when we came out the house to go home we had one under our car. That's 2 sightings in 26 years! My in laws live in Central Louisiana and have sandy soil and hilly terrain.
