There are many capillaries in the lungs. These small blood vessels are the site of gas exchange in the alveoli.
the airbags in the lungs are for transferring oxygen into the capilliaries
There are two place where this process occurs: i) the Lungs, and ii) the Capilliaries.

peritubular capilliaries
Carry oxyginated blood to the body, and deoxiginated blood back to the lungs to get oxygen.
Capillaries do not have valves. Veins are the blood vessels with valves.
The capillaries carry oxygenated blood from the arterioles through body tissues, where the oxygen diffuses into cells that need it. The capillaries then receive carbon dioxide from the cells, and enter the venules that lead to veins.
No arteries do, these then lead into arterioles and into capilliaries.
Capillaries are located between arteries and veins. They are found throughout the body.
Veins carry deoxygenated blood, arteries carry oxygenated blood, and capillaries are for gas exchange between tissues and blood. One exception to that is the pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins of the heart -- they are named backward. The pulmonary artery actually carries the deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs, and the pulmonary vein carries the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.
