Human muscle cells are diploid.

All human cells are diploid except for gametes (sperms and ova) and the cells that divide to form them (secondary spermatocytes and secondary oocytes).

Diploid. Haploid cells only contain one copy of each of your chromosomes. The only cells in your body that are haploid are your gametes (sperm or eggs depending in your gender). Everything else is diploid.

A gamete cell is haploid, during fertilization, two gamete cells (one from the male one from female) join together to form a diploid cell.

As a gamete, it's haploid.

What is the difference between a gamete and a regular animal cell?

a gamete is a haploid but an animal cell is a diploid

Are human body gamete cells haploid or diploid?

From a text book.. diploid cell- In an organism that reproduses sexually, a cell containing two homologous sets of chromosomes, one set of inherited from each parent; a 2n cell haploid cell- In the life cycle of an organism that reproduces sexually, a cell containing a single set of chromosomes; an n cell ...diploid?

Is a liver cell a haploid or a diploid cell?

diploid foolall are diploid except sperms and eggs

What do N and 2N indicate in biology?

This indicated the difference between a haploid and a diploid, or rather if a cell has 1 or 2 sets of chromosomes. N = Haploid (A gamete or sex cell) 2N = Diploid (Somatic cell)

Where does a diploid occur?

Every cell in the body, other than the sperm and egg cells, is diploid. This means that they all have the whole complement of two sets of 23 chromosomes, totalling 46. The gametes, sex cells, only have one set of 23 chromosomes. This is called haploid. This is so that when one haploid gamete from a female and another haploid gamete from a male fuse, a diploid cell will form and be able to mitotically replicate to produce an individual.

Is a stomach cell a haploid or a diploid cell?

All of the cells in a human body, including the stomach are diploid. There is one cell that is not diploid and that is the sex cell. It is haploid.

How many chromosomes are contained in a human male gamete cell?

In a gamete (sex) cell, there are 23 chromosomes. A gamete is a haploid, or n, whereas a somatic (normal) cell is a diploid, or 2n, and has 46 chromosomes.

What is a cell that has a full copy of DNA?

Either pollen fertilization, zygote, gamete, diploid, haploid, or a chromosome

Are cells diploid or haploid at the end of cell division?

They are haploid. As meosis produces sex cells (sperm and eggs) they must have half the genetic material, so when fertilisation occurs the gamete formed has one full set of chromosomes, it is diploid.

Where in the body are haploid and diploid cells found?

cell

If an organism has 16 chromosomes in each of its egg cells the organisms diploid number is 32?

The gamete or haploid cell of an organism contains half as many chromosomes as a diploid body cell. An organism that has 32 chromosomes would produce a gamete with 16 chromosomes.
