The Glenfield 50 was manufactured in 12ga from 1966 to 1979. The bolt-action magazine fed shotgun came at various times with fixed or variable chokes. The stock was birch with a walnut finish. 89,883 were produced. All had 28-inch barrels. It was produced in 20ga in 1966 and 1967 with a full choke 26-inch barrel.
The Marlin 50DL was produced in a birch/walnut stock in 1996, 12ga, 28-inch barrel with fixed modified choke. In 1997 and 1998 it was produced with a black synthetic stock. I found one reference stating it was produced after 1998, but can't confirm it. The answer to your question is that while they are generally similar, they are not the same.
Glenfield was made by Marlin. Check with a local gun shop.

That is the Marlin proofmark, showing the gun to have been test fired with a high pressure "proof" load. It stands for the initials of the founder of the company- John marlin.
the gun was made during the 60s and 70s so the stock maybe somewhere there
The Glenfield model 25 wasn't a Marlin, so determining what it actually is is not easy. Obtain a copy of Modern Gun Values and try and determine the actual manufacturer. A Glenfield version is typically worth 75% of the manufacturer's value.
Boyds gun stocks and I believe the marlin mod 80 will be compatible, if not then a bit of wood working will be needed to fit the action.
