No because if you look up the value of a C-C bond and double it you'll find that it is more than the value of a C=C double bond.

Therefore they can't be the same strength.

Is the single double or triple bond the strongest?

Bond strength follows this trend triple>double>single....Triple bonds have 2 pie bonds and 1 sigma bond, Double bonds have 1 pie bond and 1 sigma bond and single bonds have 1 sigma bond.

Can bond order used to compare the strength of chemical bond?

Peel bond strength tester | Perfectgroupindia Bond order can be used to compare the strength of chemical bonds, hence the answer is yes. The number of chemical bonds between a pair of atoms is represented by the concept of bond order in molecular orbital theory. It is computed by dividing by two the difference between the number of electrons involved in bonds and the number involved in antibonds. In general, a stronger link is indicated by a higher bond order. A single bond, a double bond, and a triple bond, for instance, have bond orders of 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Accordingly, it may be inferred that a triple bond is more powerful than a double bond, which is more powerful than a single bond.

Why are double bonds an advantage?

Because double bond has more bonding force than singal bond because two electrons take place in bonding of each atom which give more strength to its bonding force

Is tear resistance is same with tensile bond strength?

tear resistance is not the same as tensile bond strength.

How is polarity related to bond strength?

Polarity is related to bond strength because the bigger the difference in electronegativity, the higher the bond energy will be. This will then give rise to a much stronger bond.

Characteristics of this bond:- single, double or triple bond- distance between atoms- strength of the bond

Why can carbon form such strong bonds between atoms?

Because carbon has a double bond gving it double the strength

What determins the strength of metallic bond?

The number of valence electrons determines the strength of the metallic bond. The more the stronger the bond will be.

How is the strength of a covalent bond related to it's bond to its bond dissociation energy?

Greater the bond strength, greater is the bond dissociation energy. (So they are proportional to each other).

How is bond strength and bond energy related?

They are the same

Why c-c bond are equal in benzene due to resonance?

The two resonance configuration is equally probable in benzene. i.e. all the c-c bonds have 50% probability of single bond and double bond. As a result all the bonds become equal.
