the front pads are pretty easy you sould not need any special tools, but the rear pads are slightly harder and you'll need a pair of brake plier's they got a special ends to allow you to pull the returning springs, you could use a regular pair of pliers but its dangerous. Ive done it but it could be real easy to lose an eye the right pliers or only 15.00 from Weavers or Napa.
