they are alot of new planets in space that we have found. Planet X Planet Xl, Planet Neplite,Planet Planet Cel
Many of the planets discovered in the past few years have designations such as Kepler-22b because they were discovered using the Kepler space telescope.
There is enough sunlight reflecting off them and reaching our eyes.
Planets do not live. They are inorganic material. The planets that exist in our solar system from closest to the sun to the furthest are... Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Beyond Neptune there are many planetoids including Pluto (which used to be considered a planet) We have discovered many other planets orbiting other stars, but I don't know all the names that have been given to them.
We do not know how many planets there are in space. But the answer would be in Billions or trillions. There are 8 planets in our Solar System.

The surprising thing to me is how MANY extra-solar planets have been discovered. Considering the limitations of the Kepler Space Telescope's design, this indicates that there may be planets around a majority of the stars.
Saturn was discovered by ancient Greeks and Romans, so sorry no space crafts.

All the planets in our solar system orbit our sun. Recently other suns, far out in Space, have been discovered to have their own planets.
There is a bit of confusion here. Kepler is not the name of a planet but of a space telescope used to discover planets in other solar systems. Planets discovered with this telescope are given designations such as Kepler-22b. This telescope has been used to discovered hundreds of planets.
There is no planet named Kepler. Kepler is the name of a space telescope used to find planets in other solar systems. Planets discovered with this method are given designations such as Kepler 22-b. Some planets discovered have been larger than Jupiter.

Telescopes have helped discover many things in space that are not visible such as some of the outer planets of our solar system.
