Yes the waters surrounding crete are home to sharks, including the Great White Shark. This is not to say the waters are dangerous, remember soda vending machines have killed more people than sharks. SHARKS ARE HARDLY DANGEROUS.

I live in Cyprus, and yes there are sharks in Cyprus.

Not a common sight but they do exist, they're usually past the breakwaters, rarely reaching shore.

In the 20 years that I have been here, there were only two cases of sharks reaching shore. Both were labeled as 'friendly sharks' where they would pose no risk to humans.

The one case was in Limassol in the Enaerios area where two sharks surfaced on the beach.

Yes, but it is EXTREMELY! rare to see one, yet to be attacked by one should be almost impossible.

Sharks swim in the Mediterranean Sea near Greece. They rarely attack people.
