The tires are on during the measurement part, they could need removed to perform adjustments.
My van has bad tires at front and better ones at rear, should wheel alignment be performed with bad tires?
The alignment adjusting settings. If you are not sure, get an alignment , cheap and your tires will wear better
If the front tires on a Mitsubish Pajero have worn on the outer wall, it can be caused by wheel alignment issues. As wheel alignment shifts, it can cause feathering of the tires.
Positive is toe in, the front tires point in at the front.
Wheel alignments require special equipment, but to do a rough alignment,(such as after replacing steering parts)to get you to the alignment shop, you can measure the back of the front tires at center, and the front of the front tire at center and ensure that the two measurements are the same. Then go straight to the shop. Driving with the alignment out wears tires and can result in loss of control.
Possible alignment issue.
Front end toe in is out of alignment. Take it to a trusted alignment shop and have the front end aligned.
I'd at least have it checked, just to be sure everything's fine
Depends on when you had your last alignment and the condition of the tires you removed. It they were wearing perfectly even then you may not need an alignment. If you have not had an alignment in the last 36,000 miles you may very well need one. Judgment call on your part based on the evidence.
Sam's Club does not do front end alignments. They do sell tires and if your tires are wearing unevenly, they can tell you if a front end alignment is recommended.
If the alignment is good and the front end parts are not worn (some people will align the front end with worn parts) it only leaves the tires. Rotate the two front tires and if they are bad you will notice the difference right away
Have the alignment checked at a local automotive shop.
