Are we subjected to subliminal messages?

Yes, if you watch television or listen to the radio, you are subjected to subliminal messages frequently. Advertising agencies and corporations have long been aware of the neuropsychological effects of certain images and messages to the general public, and they use this information to best influence peoplet to buy their products.
The most common are fast food commercials and branding effects.
fMRIs (functional MRIs, sort of like scans of the brain working in real-time) have shown that people exposed to certain images or brand logos will have actual emotional/psychological responses, and these can be verified by watching different areas of the brain increase in activity after being subjected to these images.
This is strong proof that branding effects and advertising have subliminal and deeply-rooted neuropsychological effects on the human brain.
