2 hi unless you're driving in rough/unstable terrain. Then you use 4 hi. And if you're pulling something, it should be 4 lo.
Depends on if your shifting from 4 Hi or 4 Low to 2 wheel drive. If going from 4 Hi to 2 Hi you can shift it while moving, if going from 4 Low to 2 Hi, you must stop and put it in neutral.
That would be your tansfer case. 4 hi is just engaging your front tires so that all 4 are turning. 4 lo is low range and all 4 tires engaged and 2 hi is just high speed gears in just 2 wheel drive
4 auto means its in 2 wheel drive until it needs four like when the tires break loose and then it kicks into 4. 4 hi means its in 4 wheel drive the whole time
Hi, The first is to lock your hubs whether they are manual or auto. The second is to put the drive lever from 4 hi to 4 low or hi depending on the conditions and speed you'll drive. Steve H.
back jeep up,,put in reverse.put in drive move slowly 10 feet.Push 4 wheel drive selector forward to 2 high position
2
no unless it is a 4 wheel drive and you are in 4 hi or lo. I still wouldn't do it
Four wheel drive high range.
You aren't supposed to replace them. You aren't supposed to replace them.
This happen to me several times, put the car in reverse (R) & drive in a circle, it will pop out, then you can turn button to 2 wheel drive. Good luck!
Most vehicles need to be stooped and in neutral before they will engage the the 4WD in low.
hi my 2008 chevy suburban transfer case is blown and automaticly went from auto to low 4wheel drive any one know how to get it two 2 wheel drive the switch does nothing
