Atoms are bonded together to form a molecule. A bond means that there is some sharing of electrons between the nuclei of the atoms. The electron can be equally shared or the atom that has the higher electronegativity will have the major share of the electron's orbit.

How are atoms or molecules arranged in a true solid?

The arrangements of atoms and molecules give matter properties. Each arrangement is called a ''state of matter". A solid is matter that has a definite shap and takes up a definite amount of space. Vintage Magnet Student 4th Grade Mrs.Bhattacharyra Room 28

Why does the state of matter depend on the motion of its particles?

State of matter depend on arrangement of particle. In gases the arrangement is random and very loose. So they move freely. In solid, the arrangement is tight. So they cannot move freely.
