in the state of Tennessee, you have to pay support until the child reaches 18 or graduates from high school, which ever is LONGER. In some cases, it will be in your child support order, you may have to pay until the child finishes college, sometimes laid out to be a 4 year college. if the child moves out, gets married, or drops out of school before 18 years old, you have to go through the court in order to stop paying.

Until the child turns eighteen. If the child continues their education and pursues a college degree, it will continue until the child either graduates or stops attending. There are some other exceptions to include marriage and out of the house for before the age of eighteen.
