What century are you in? This is 20ll ad and about 98% of primary and secondary schools are co-ed . It is the standard. Movies, comic books and television shows that deal with academia almost invariably depict Co-ed high schools- such as Riverdale High- Archie"s alma Mater. The Church schools oppose the practice-but even they are loosening up- Hudson Catholic gender integrated in the past year or so- and Marist had done so earlier.

There are only minor drawbacks which are NOt handicaps and can readily be addressed . For example one normally has separate classes for such things as Swim and Gym, that has been already addressed. apart from Physical education- all other classes are gender mixed freely. Good Lord, we don"t have men"s math or women"s Grammar, do we? contrary to some misguided rumors- the mixed classes merge smoothly and operate on a saner basis. Sunday schools tended to be gender-discreet and still were as late as l967 when this writer was confirmed. They had separate classes, probably separate books, as our was all int he male gender type, and separate confirmation ceremonies ( which are not strictly-speaking Masses as there is no communion! the old joke was the same Missal with a different warhead!
