If your barrel is marked .300 Savage then you can shoot .300 Savage ammunition by any manufacturer. I do not know of a "300 Savage Winchester Magnum".
federal premium trophy bonded tips 160g
You can only shoot what is printed on the barrel. Mag and short mag are not the same.
To get the best acurecy out of a 300 win mag would be to start reloading;moly coated 175 grain sieara matchking, N560 vita vuri powder and winchester brass. Expierment with with diferent charges I had the best luck with 75gn. BUT! the older models can not take that hi of charge. Seat the bullet out to about five thou. behind the rifling. but if you dont want to reload then the best ammo would be BLACK HILLS ammo with 175gn matchking molly note the matchking does work great for hunting "great expantion"
I have had good success with Federal rifle ammo.
You have to experiment with different settings and ammunition.
Value about $300-500, depending on condition, and the exact model. There were Several Mdl 111's in 7mm Mag.
When a soldier is Green on ammo, it means he got ammo in the mag and he's ready to go. when he's red, he's mag is out of ammo and he's changing mag. when he's black on ammo, he's out of magazine and does not have any more ammo at all. hope it hleps
