The strongest type of ship, is the battleship. Which is why they are so expensive to build...all that expensive armor plate. They are more expensive to build, take longer to construct, and are heavier than an aircraft carrier. But can easily be sunk by aircraft carriers; which is why they were replaced by aircraft carriers. Carriers do NOT need all of that expensive armor plate, therefore they are quicker and cheaper to build.
