No, you don't want to take two pain medicines at the same time. Nyquil already has acetaminophen in it for pain and fever. You need to separate them by at least 3 hours. If the acetaminophen in the Nyquil is not working well enough, however, my advice is to see a doctor for a prescription.

I took vicodin (not exactly the same moment) but within 2 hour span at least... took a NyQuil tablet... Slept real late... but didn't die and woke up without a runnny or stuffed up nose... I just took a dayquil and earlier took 1/2 vicodin.. I didn't die yet..

No, you cannot take these together. Nyquil has paracetamol in it already - check the ingredients list. Acetaminophen is the name of the drug - it is a pain and fever reducer. Taking too much acetaminophen can damage your liver.

Motrin is the commercial name for ibuprofen.

Check the label of your Nyquil, but most contain acetaminophen (commercially known as Tylenol).

Can you mix? Or rather take them at the same time, Nyquil and Motrin? Make sure your not accidentally taking twice the dose of any one medication. If one contains acetaminophen and the other ibuprofen, although not the same, they do overlap in their purpose. I would consult your physician before taking them at the same time.

I don't buy combination medications OTC. I can usually locate the individual medications in generic form, and save money.

If you mean mix in the sense of "put them in a beaker and stir", then sure you can mix them.

If you mean mix in the sense of "take them both at the same time", then that's a horrible idea.

Yes, advil has ibuprofen in it, NyQuil has Tylenol and they are safe to take together.

I took 2 NyQuil liquigels and 2 generic Advil Pm's last night because I was sleeping all day and up all night and wanted to straighten it out. I slept like a baby.
