Can I drive for Swift Transportation with an Alabama CDL in the State of Florida?

Yes, but the State of Florida is going to require you to switch your licence over to Florida.. I don't know the exact legislation for Florida, but in most states, it's usually 30 days after you've established residence (gained employment in the state, or purchased property, or signed a lease agreement on an apartment, etc.).

If you're employed by Swift Transportation in the state of Florida, you'll probably run out of their Ocala terminal, unless you opt to go to the flatbed division. Unless they've started running flatbeds out of Ocala, the nearest terminal for flatbeds is (or at least was, when I worked for them) Greer, South Carolina. All it really means is which terminal you'll be dispatched out of. If you're dissatisfied with the personnel staffing the terminal you're dispatched out of, you can request to be dispatched out of a different terminal. A lot of the Eden, North Carolina flatbed drivers (the terminal is now defunct) were dissatisfied when a new "driver manager" was put in charge of the flatbed division out of that terminal, and had themselves reassigned either to Greer, South Carolina, Gary, Indiana, or Phoenix, Arizona.

Swift Transportation requires all of their drivers to have a hazmat endorsement. If you need to add this endorsement, you need to either make the trip to Alabama to take the hazmat written test and submit to the background check, then make the trip back again to have the endorsement added when the background check is completed, or else just go ahead and switch your licence over to Florida.
