No. It won't make any difference; antibiotics are carefully manufactured to provide the optimum dosage. Taking more will not get rid of your infection more quickly, any more than using more detergent than recommended will make your clothes or dishes cleaner. Amoxicillin is unlikely to cause any irreversible damage from a moderate overdosage, and up to 1 gram 3 times daily is prescribed for adults with certain conditions anyway. That said, let me repeat myself:follow the prescribing physician's instructions.
