Yes, you can see 98 computers from Vista. I haven't been able to do it the other way around yet. May not be able to at all, unless you turn off passwords (horribly unsafe!). 98 system uses password authentification. When logging in, use a bogus user name like fred@ginger. Vista gives me many errors that my password is wrong and then all of a sudden for no particular reason it works, so keep trying. When you tell Vista to remember your password, it may not give so much trouble on other drive mappings or accesses later on. (Then again, it may)

∙ 16y agomaybe, windows 98 is kinda like rolling dice, sometimes stuff works, sometimes it doesn't. Somewhere in windows 98, there is an option to have a button called "Map network drive" show up on the toolbar thing on all the windows. Click on the button and then type the path of the shared thing in vista, there is no browse button. Or it might work the normal way, just by going to the network neighborhood icon.
