A 16-year-old cannot leave home without parental consent/emancipation/court approval/etc. Mom and Dad can report you as a runaway and have you picked up and returned home. Anyone who takes you in or assist you can be facing charges for doing so.

The parents might punish the girls 21 year old boyfriend. . . or if shes married the parents might accept him. . . or if the parents cannot do anything with the boy they'll just accept him in the family.

There is no age requirement regarding dating or getting a boyfriend but you better ask your parents.

most likely not the best idea, but if the boyfriend is safe and his parents do not smoke or drink and are ok on money, then sure go for it

Yes, if she has the permission of her parents or a court order. Otherwise she will have to stay until she is 18.

AS long as your parents are OK with it then its fine. I was 17 when i moved in with my boyfriend of 19 years old.

If it is Ok with both sets of parents. They are minors and the parents are responsible for them.

You're 16, you can do what you want, but if you do this then you could loose your parens. Do you really want to break their hearts?

User Avatar

The only way you ca move in with him if your parents give all your rights to your boyfriend, but you can't move out without your parents permission because your still a minor and your boyfriend is 23 and he could go to jail if your parents are not ok with it. So just stay home and with at least a year or two and see how everything is going with your parents and your boyfriend. No, the legal age for moving out without your parents permission is 18-years-old.

If you are over 13 you can have a boyfriend but if you are under 13 you have to get parents permission

I believe that the correct answer is going to be found with your mom or dad. Some parents feel that it is OK for an 11-year-old girl to have a boyfriend if they are properly supervised. Other parents feel that 11 is simply too young Try talking to mom or dad and see if having a "boyfriend" would be OK if you were at home with your parents.

I would confront the girl or warn your boyfriend

They can only do so if the parents give their permission to do so. Otherwise they will have to wait until they turn 18.
