No, the pcv valve is not even close to the transmission.
The pcv valve is located on the top of the valve cover. It is a plug in type and just pulls out.
Have you tried replacing the PCV valve?
It does not have a PCV VALVE, But it does have a vent tube on the very top of the transmission. It is hard to see but it's there.
It is supposed to rattle when you shake it. if it does not, it needs replacing. The rattle you hear is the check valve.
Pull upward on the hose that the PCV valve is in. The PCV valve will pull out of the hose. The PCV valve is located in the valve cover.
PCV valve needs replacing or the rings are bad.
Disconnect the PCV valve tube from the PCV valve.Disconnect the PCV valve electrical connector if it has one.Turn the PCV valve counterclockwise to remove from the valve cover.To install, reverse the removal procedure.
The PCV valve is located on the passenger side rear valve cover. Simply pull it out then pinch the clamp to release the valve. I would recommend replacing the PCV valve grommet while you're in there, they get hard and brittle and can break into pieces that fall inside the engine.
Remove the PCV valve retaining screws. Remove the PCV valve hose. Reverse the process to install the new PCV valve.
The PCV valve has a check ball in it, That's what you are hearing. REPLACE PCV VALVE
