Most of the time because of the low price on used PS2s it is more economical to just replace a PS2, but of course broken PS2s are fixed even if unbroken to bring them up to a Refurbished status for resale in stores like GameStop
first of all, sell your ps2 and get a xbox360 or a ps3. much better. ps2's are out of date now. =)
Places that repair PS2 models normally forward them to a repair facility. Many times the are actually a seller of used PS2 models and offer to exchange your PS2 with a working PS2 for $50-70 instead of waiting for yours to be repaired. With the low cost of a PS2 to purchase new (under $100), repair by a professional of the broken PS2 is not always economical or the best option. The value of a broken PS2 is vary low (Amazon.com pays a $5 gift card). Gamespot sells refurbished PS2 models for $60 -70 and your repaired PS2 would be worth less than a reconditioned PS2. The cost to repair your PS2 should be compared to the purchase of a used models that can be found for as little as $25 in working condition on Ebay (sometimes they include games and accessories and are still under the Gamestop prices).
No the emulator does not work with the PS2, it uses the PS2 Bios
i got my cod 5 disc stuck once and the way i fixed it is put where the disc would come out and shook the ps3 until it finally came out u have to leave the power on and the ps3 on though so u can get it out

you need to get your ps2 fixed by someone who can make your ps2 so it can play copied games. a ps2 has some kind of protection against it.
you cant. sorry people say that you simply go to the phone and call a maid and dont hire her, you just wait but... THIS DOES NOT WORK sorry, you cant have kids on the ps2 lol your sims are basically fixed/neutered in the ps2 and gamecube verstion :]
You don't get your PS2 fixed at Gamestop you trade in or donate your broken one and buy a new $100 or reconditioned one $50-60

depends what's wrong, many are cheaper to replace than fix or can not be fixed
Not on any model without 4 USB ports all produced before August 2008 and prone to overheating. They are often only temporary fixed when available used. Some PS2 games have been release in PS3 versions and will not work on a PS2 so can no longer be considered PS2 games in that form
no but you can with the cotton will sticks used for your ears if they is dirt on then it can be fixed but you might need a new one
I got my lens fixed for 1600 rupees, but at some places they won't go lower than 2000.

Yes it can corrupt your system because i was at my house with my ps3 and i put in star wars the force unleashed and my system put on a white screen and turned off, the next time i tried to turn it on it froze and did the same thing it did before so i called the play station network and told them and i had to turn in my ps3 to get it fixed and they fixed it, and i never put a ps2 game in a ps3 system again
The PS2 Slim Plays all the PS2 games the Fat PS2 would.
