An adult child can serve as their parents' attorney-in-fact under a Power of Attorney. That is often the case when the parents and child have a good relationship and the parents trust their child to act in their place and sign documents on their behalf.

The foster parents do not have "power of attorney" . They have guardianship. You need to consult with an attorney who can review your situation and explain your rights and options.

Where do you get your parents will at?

The contents of a Will are your parents' personal and legal business. It is none of a child's business unless the parent shows you the Will, includes you in estate/will planning, or you are named the Executor/Executrix of the Will (this is not a minor child). When the parents die, the Executor/Executrix can contact the parents' Attorney to get a copy of the Will, if it's location is unknown at home.

Does a grandmother need written consent to take grandchild traveling in the states?

No. There are no checkpoints as there are between countries so there is no way for the government to regulate that. It is perfectly legal for grandparents to travel in the US with their grandchildren without any documentation. Really no one need any documentation to travel with anyone inside the country. If you want to go to Canada, a notiraized letter that has the signatures of both parents is required.

Does a child have to choose who they want to live with in front of their parents?

The Court orders the custody arrangement of minor children. If the child reaches at least 14, and a motion is made to bring the case to court, and the judge allows the child to choose, the child does not have to choose in front of the parents. The attorney(s) can ask the court that the parents be asked to step outside while the court and/or attorneys question the child.

If your a under age mother and the father is an older adult how can you get child support?

The age of the parents has no bearing on child support. All the State cares about is who are the biological parents, who has custody, and how much money does each parent make. You get child support by filing a child support case with the Attorney General's office in your state.

The unwed father was found dead. Can the mother represent the minor child in a class action law suit if the decedent had the mother of his child listed on his contact information?

She must consult with an attorney. His paternity must be established legally before the child can have any standing as his heir. The listing of contacts is not proof of paternity. Unwed parents who do not establish their child's paternity legally are doing a great disservice to the child. She must consult with an attorney. If parents are not married does the child have more right to make medical decisions for one of them than the other parent?

The answer is no. The child would need a Durable Power of Attorney or qualified health proxy to make legal medical decisions for either parent. The child would need to be at least eighteen years of age to qualify as an attorney in fact.
