A normal sized bear is 3 times bigger than the puma (cougar). Meaning 4 times in volume, 8 times the strength. So what do you think? Does a cougar eat a bear? Can it?
No a wolf is smaller but stronger then a cougar and they travel in packs so it is harder to target one.
Yes, they kill them and sometimes eat them.
Only if the brown bear's already dead, but even then it's unlikely that a cougar would even eat it.
They would not consider them prey, but being scavengers, they would feed on a dead one if they came across it.
