Well, no unless it's a very huge one that's rabid. Coyotes aren't as dangerous as most people say they are, most fatal attacks are on children. If one comes towards you, unless you're just standing there and let it attack you, you probably won't die. Now wolves, those are a whole different story. Also, there is power in numbers, more than 1 coyote can be fatal because like most canines, coyotes work as a team to take down prey.
