Absolutely not, pure cane sugar is exactly that...PURE. It includes all of the vitamins & minerals that come from the cane shoot out of the ground & it's NATURAL COLOR IS BROWN NOT WHITE. The problem with white "refined" sugar is that to get it white they literally BLEACH the sugar. This completely stupid act strips the sugar of all its natural substance & leaves this alien pale grain that's only sweet & essentially toxic & poisonous to the body,That bleached crap causes Diabetes. They did a study with roaches & white sugar...the roaches wouldn't go near the white sugar...let me repeat that...ROACHES wouldnt go near white sugar. For the longest time I didn't even know sugar was brown...real vanilla is also dark brown.

∙ 15y agoNo better or worse then white sugar, since it is simply a less processed version of sugar. It has the same caloric load and effects on the body as other forms of sugars, including cane sugar, turbinado sugar, molasses, corn syrup, maltose, etc.

For type 1 diabetics, the cause is unknown, but sugar is not the cause. Research is continually being done to find the cause and cure.
For type two diabetics, the lack of physical exercise and obesity are the most common causes.

It contains natural sugar which has low glycemic index that prevents steep rise in blood glucose levels in diabetics, so it can act as a substitute of aerated drinks for them. However people with Type-2 diabetes should consume it in moderation and after consultation with their doctors.
