Yes it can! A fuel injector is just an electic valve. The valve can can stick open and let too much fuel into the manifold. It can have excessive wear and leak even with the engine off. It is controlled by an electric signal from the computer and if the signal is wrong, it can send too much fuel into the engine. However, when you start the engine, if there is nothing wrong, pressing down on the gas pedal wont do anything to change the starting of the vehicle! Unlike the carburated engines, an injected engine wont need to have the choke set by pressing down on the pedal which also sprays fuel with the accelleration pump. So you can flood a carburated engine in a different manner than an injected engine.
no
No spark?
it would depend if the car is carburated, or fuel injected... if it is carburated it can flood the motor (if this happens just give it about 20 mins and try and start it again), if it is fuel injected nothing will happen.
check the car ; and if it is fuel injected send it to the shop because the oils can damage your hand if touched.
You cant flood a fuel injected vehicle. It would be something else making it not start. It could be a bad fuel pump or spark plugs. Anything to do with the ignition. Distributorless pack, where all the wires plug into. Also hard starting problems are sometimes the result of an improper starting technique on the part of the driver. On a fuel injected engine, DO NOT push or pump the gas pedal when trying to start the engine. This just puts the engine into the Clear Flood mode, which will cut off fuel to the engine temporarily making it even harder to start. Just crank the engine without touching the gas pedal.
It is inside the fuel tank on fuel injected models.
If car is fuel injected (which I assume it is) it does not have a choke
If this car is fuel injected, it is located behind the passenger kick panel. If it is not fuel injected, it does not have one.
Reprogram the car's computer.
Is the car Carbuerated or Fuel injected?
Chevrolet and Ford introduced fuel injection in 1957.
If your car has the fuel injected V6 the fuel filter is next to the fuel tank. If your car has the carburetor the fuel filter is in the inlet to the carburetor.
