That would probably work, as long as you put down some tarp, newspaper and then flease/light blanket over the area. Make sure there is a sturdy gate around him that he can't squeeze thru or jump over, and there is no cords nearby. Lastly, make sure its big enough. For one pig it should be 8 to 9 square feet, and 10.5 for two.

∙ 14y agoIt is best not to keep your guinea pig anywhere else other than its cage. If you leave it open in places like your bedroom, it will hide in places like under the bed or behind the closets. Also, you can accidently step on your guinea pig which will kill it. So, it is best to keep your guinea pig in a guinea pig cage.

∙ 12y agoyes a guinea pig could survrive in a bedroom as long as its made guinea pig safe and its in a cage/hut. letting the pig roam free could easliy get it stepped on or it could chew something that is not safe.
