I have two hamsters, both Syrian, called Penny and Twopence. Hamsters can eat most fruit or vegetables with the exception of avocado and lettuce. So the answer to your question is yes, they can eat raisins.
I know Gerbils can. I don't know about hamsters. I would ask a petstore or breeder.
I gave my hamster a few raisins and she loved it. Nothing seems to be wrong with her, so I believe they can have raisins without it affecting them. But I wouldn't give them too many. I'm not certain what would happen if your hamster were to overdose on them. :/
yes you can raisins could be found in some of the food for them.you could feed a hamster almost every veddgie and fruit as long as it has nothing that could harm it like chemical.but every day you should feed a hamster 3 pelets and mabye a little snack in the afternoon.
Grapes and raisins are one and the same; raisins are grapes that have been dried. Although grapes are not generally considered to be toxic to hamsters, the drying process leaves them with a very high natural sugar content which is 60% by weight; this sugar is known as fructose. A high sugar intake should be avoided with these animals.
Grape and raisin toxicity is already well documented in dogs but is still relatively new ground. The consumption of grapes and raisins are known to present a potential health hazard to dogs. The toxicity in raisins may well cause the animal to develop acute renal failure. No one knows for sure yet why raisins are toxic to dogs, and if only certain breeds may be affected. Most animal centres now advise that grapes and raisins should not be fed to any animal until the toxic substance has been establish.
Of course, when i run short on food i always like to jazz of there calender of health and add some lettuce, sunflower seeds, carrots, peanuts, bread, and sometimes for a sweet treat i put some ice cream or peanut butter on the tip of my finger so they can lick it.
Make sure you dont feed your furry friend to many sweets cause judging by there foods that they eat, it can cause them having stomache problems.
nope the hamsters eat raisins as part of their diets
YES THEY LOV EM
Yes, they love them as a treat.
Yes you can.
no they can not
I guess they could, but you should not feed hamsters raisins, they have WAY to much sugar. ~DNDWizard
Yes, raisins are dried white grapes and currants are dried black grapes, so you can substitute one for the other.

Yes, currants are a dried fruit. They are actually dried red seedless grapes.
Currants are found in most grocery stores as a dried fruit, and will be located by other dried fruits like raisins.
raisins
I assume you mean dried currants like you bake with. All Kroger's may not carry them but if the one you shop at does they should be with the raisins.
Raisins are the dried fruit dirivative of certain types of grape, as opposed to currants which come from types of grapes different from those used to make raisins; sorry, I don't know which grape type is which.
i think its called crowns up to 5.and its on the suger contint on there color and
It really depends on the hamster. Raisins seem to be a popular favourite and also cheese. Its not a good idea to feed a hamster a lot of cheese though because of the high salt content. You can buy special hamster chocolates which mine seemed to love, but you shouldn't feed them more than 5 a day.
Raisins. You feed them raisins. (I keep a lady bug in a plastic yougrt contaner)
