Yes, lady bugs can have cucumber and in fact many other vegetables. I have lady bugs inside the glass area that I keep my plants in to keep the pests down, and I have tried them on many things. They do not seem too like the veggies as much as fruits though. A ladybug could possibly eat grass if it wanted to, but it won't, and it will only eat aphids. It can eat grass, but it won't.

The 28 spot ladybug eats lots of different things including garden plants. Which makes them the not so friendly bug. Sure, they eat SOME bugs but this type of ladybugs like to eat leaves. Tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, chillies, cucumbers, zucchini, melons and pumpkins... Basically anything you try to grow. If you see this in your yard, be worried. It will distroy anything you attempt to grow.
